2018 Ford Transit Overview

2018FordTransit 400.jpgYou might not immediately think that a commercial vehicle would have all the bells and whistles of a modern car, truck, or SUV, but the Ford Transit proves otherwise. You’ll get three different engine options, including:

  • A 3.7L V6 engine that puts out 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque
  • A 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine that achieves 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque
  • A 3.2L turbodiesel engine that puts out 185 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque

Plus, you can choose whether you want to utilize your Transit for cargo or passengers, with plenty of space in either option. With active safety features like Stability Control, Lane Departure Warning, and a Driver-Alert System, you’ll find that the Transit will keep you, your passengers, and cargo safe on the road.

When it comes to the latest technology, you’ll find that in the Transit, as well. Bluetooth® accessibility comes standard, so you’ll always be able to enjoy your favorite tunes. You also have the option to upgrade to a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, as well.

Ford Transit Trim Levels

Now, let’s move on to the 2018 Transit trim levels. The Transit is offered in two trim levels: the XL and the XLT. Both offer the three different engine options, along with available technology upgrades. Let’s see what else they have in store.

Ford Transit XL

The Ford Transit XL might be the lower of the two trim levels, but you’ll still find plenty of great features. Inside the cabin, you’ll get standard vinyl seating, along with tinted windows, and the options to upgrade to cloth upholstery, navigation, rear air conditioning, and a power driver’s seat.

You can also add a towing/hauling package on to the XL to make your trips even easier, along with power running boards and a reverse alarm.

Ford Transit XLT

If that’s not enough, you can upgrade to leather seating and the Ford SYNC®3 infotainment system for the ultimate connection on those longer drives.
